A long true story, written by passion...
Everything started in 2009, without a plan ;-)
The house of a family member had to be cleared and we found the many great things a shame to throw away. Everything was kept, no one thought of a shop at that time.
By chance we learned about the new German market place called DAWANDA. Here only handmade and real vintage items were allowed. Just for fun, a shop was opened and suddenly the Pimp Factory was born. In the first years there was no furniture in the program, there was no warehouse and no international shipping. Likewise, there was no workshop, everything was operated from the apartment.
The small shop developed well and we came up with the idea to offer small furniture. Really only small ones like chairs or bedside tables. It was time for a small warehouse, barely the size of two garages :)
In 2013 we opened the second shop, especially for vintage furniture. It was more and more and the place was soon no longer enough.
2014 was a significant year for the Pimp Factory, we moved to "Ankensen" and have a big house with additional workshops and storage rooms. In addition, we have exchanged our old warehouse for a much larger one. The first shop on ETSY.com was opened and brought us the first customers from other continents.
In 2018 DAWANDA announced that the platform will be closed. It was a shock, we had three shops there?!?! But we are vintage people and always look forward. Today we have three shops on ETSY.com and many customers around the world.
And we are happy about that
